About the Retreat:
The Joshua Project is pleased to present an overnight coming-of-age camping event for Black men. This event will be held in a natural, outdoor setting and as a part of an intentional process of ushering Black boys into their Manhood and inviting them into the community of men. Participants will engage in group activities designed to promote self-expression, confidence, and personal power. The concept of being a mature man will be explored and distinguished in a safe and heartful setting utilizing poetry, songs, stories, drumming, and movement. We promise it will be meaningful and memorable.
