About the Retreat:
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
The Joshua Project and M3 invite you and your young man, aged 13 and up, to an overnight camping event for Black men, designed to foster growth and connection. Set in a serene outdoor location, this event aims to guide Black boys into Manhood, emphasizing identity, responsibility, and community.
Participants will engage in activities promoting personal development, such as leadership workshops, cultural discussions, and mentorship sessions with successful Black men. The camping experience encourages bonding, resilience, and a deeper understanding of manhood today.
The event highlights community, allowing young men to connect, form friendships, and share experiences through team-building, storytelling, and reflections in a supportive environment.
Relaxation is also a focus, with recreational activities like hiking and fishing, balancing growth with enjoyment of nature.
This camping event is a pivotal experience, empowering young Black men as they transition into adulthood, offering insights, connections, and a strong sense of identity. We look forward to welcoming you to this impactful experience.
